String Theory:

Lower tension equals more power

Higher tension equals more control

Fewer strings more power and more spin

Thinner string more power and more spin

Softer strings vibrate less

More strings more control

Polyester strings lose tension quickest followed by multifilaments then synthetic gut, while natural gut is the best at holding tension the longest

Racket Theory:

Heavy rackets equal more power, vibrate less and have a bigger sweetspot

Stiffer rackets equal more power and will absorb more shock

Larger head rackets equal more power and are more stabile and larger sweetspot

Longer rackets equal more power
